As a researcher, I am to help conserve genetic diversity in a range of crops, as a means of maintaining resilience needed to address changing environmental conditions and consumer preferences. Our research aims to not only preserve crop genetic diversity, but also deploy it for regenerative agriculture.

Originally from Scotland, living in New Zealand, I am a soon-to-be PhD in Cultural Anthropology. I am passionate about using ethnographic research to tell stories and develop an understanding of how and why people do, desire, and care about the things they do. My expertise are researching kinship and (assisted) reproduction, specifically surrogacy. I am also skilled at working in the area of multi-species ethnography, medical anthropology, design anthropology and diversity and inclusion. I have extensive experience advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities. My goal is to find a post-doc or academic position or transition into industry and work in roles that have good social and environmental impact. My best skills are in taking complex ideas and making them accessible, thinking outside the box, finding nuance in data, and helping others to see their own potential. I also have a passion for food and languages.
