I am the Co-Founder & CEO of IntuiTap Medical, where for the past 5 years I have been successfully leading my team to develop a device that helps physicians more accurately and efficiently perform spinal punctures for epidurals, drug delivery, pain management, and diagnostic purposes. My work at IntuiTap Medical landed me a spot on the esteemed Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Healthcare. I have a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. For my master’s thesis, I researched the reasons behind the large percentage of startup failures in the healthcare industry, and designed a product development framework that could be implemented in institutions, hospitals, and private companies, to enable teams to successfully innovate in healthcare. This research helped me build out the highly coveted TMC Biodesign Innovation Fellowship which has been running successfully at the Texas Medical Center for 6 years and has led to the founding of 8 healthcare companies. I have always had a passion for creating innovative products that dramatically affect the world we live in and improve people’s lives, and I hope to continue to develop disruptive medical innovations in the future.
